# EID Mubaraq & Arabic Indrajals

Friends and comic lovers of all world a very warm wishes of Eid to all of you,may the peace,prosperity and good health be showered upon you on this auspicious day for forever.



Friends,though Indrajal comics were published in a no. of Indian languages i.e.Hindi,English,
Marathi,Bengali,Tamil,Telgu,Kannada,Gujrati etc but i was unaware of the fact that they were also published in Arabic,which is quite uncommon,as in India Arabic is not a so common language where any publication might think to publish in it regarding commercial and financial interests.
But recently due to a friend,Ahmed,from Yemen i came to know that some of the issues of Indrajal comics were also published in Arabic.There is no information with me that exactly how many and from which issue Indrajal comics were published in Arabic,if anyone have more information on it please share with us.
With the help of Ahmed i got access to digital version of some of the Arabic Indrajals which are being presented here for all of you with many thanks to Ahmed.

#Comic No.136 & 137:Munshi Premchand

Munshi Premchand(Dhanpatrai,1880-1936) is no doubt the best Hindi and Urdu writer whose stories and novels represent the emotions and mentality of true India.His theme of stories and writing skills are unmatched and beyond compare with anybody as his story telling ability was interesting,simple and having words from day to day conversation.
His stories mainly depicted the problems of ordinary peasants and common man such as corruption,communalism,debt,poverty etc in a very simple and effective language.Before Premchand Indian story telling was confined mainly to King-Queen and fantasy sort of stories,it was he who brought the canvas of his stories to the problems of common man and ground realities.
His work was also appreciated in film industry and quite a few movies were made on his stories/novels such as "Mazdoor(1934),Seva Sadan(1938),Gaban(1966),Godan(1963),
Shantranj Ke Khiladi(1977)".
Gaurav Gatha publications acknowledged his work by rendering out a comic on him,which is being presented here.His stories can be read online from a blog devoted specially on him,Munshi Premchand blog.

Today is 80th birthday of our favorite singer 'Kishore Kumar' or Kishore Da as he was popularly known in the industry.
Kishore Kumar was born on 4th August 1929 in 'Khandwa' of Madhya Pradesh,he was the younger brother of famous 'Ashok Kumar' and 'Anup Kumar'.
Much has been written over him and his life so won't be writing more on him except presenting few rare pictures of him and off course a short quiz on him.

# Mahabharata Covers

Inspired by Rafiq's post on Amar Chitra Katha and Arun's request to provide individual covers of Mahabharata series this post has been prepared specially for all ACK and comic lovers.
For the first time covers of all 42 issues are being posted in English except no.39 which is in Hindi because its English edition i couldn't locate up due to messing up of comics in my room.
The cover design was done mainly by 'Dilip Kadam' himself along with few covers by 'Ramesh Umrotkar'.Comic lovers can judge themselves that if these covers would have been designed by Pratap Mullick or Ram Waeerkar then what would have been the difference regarding the quality and attraction of the series.
