Thanks for the Comic. If I am not wrong this must be some of the earliest artwork by Barry. It still has shades of Wilson McCoy's work. The only thing I remembered about this story was the block in the cell opening towards a tunnel. Great stuff. It also had a wonderful central bank of India ad.

I was right. The slave trader of mucar was the first daily strip by Barry. It ran from 21 Aug. 1961 to 10 Feb. 1962

I request CW and other to post some phantom dailies. Sometime ago Balaji sent me several links to dailies. There were wonderful stories and some of the last of the Falkian era.
I also request that the story where the tree house was built be published at some convinient time.
The Phantom with Diana and the twins was easily the happiest phantom drawn by Falk.
