# Comic No.36: Phantom Sunday: S162

Here is CW's first Phantom Sunday strip. Its no. 162 and is dedicated to our friend Ajnabi who is recuperating fast (Hope so) after a car accident.
Although the strips of post Falk era didn't match in any way with the strips of Falkian era but this one is not very much left behind..one can find it interesting as it deals with the story of recent activities of King Rex and his kingdom.

man, i just see ur quary abt Falk strips at ICC..so here it's..

upto mid'99 Falk wrote himself all the scripts of '150 Sundays & 195 Dailies' i.e. '345 in total' ..a huge indeed!
Hope it'll help u...bye

#Sagnik:Thanks for information.Yeah, i think i might be having a few of them.
Now our aim is to have access to all these Falk sundalies,as personally i think post Falk era stories are not worth to be collected.

HojO said...

#cw:ditto here!

post-Falk comics mostly r not worth reading,specially after'03.

Specially we shud collect ALL strips starting frm FALK/BARRY era upto 1999 ...those r gem indeed...i never bored by any Phantom comics of this period,b it a repeatitive pattern or not...just like those illustrations n coloring!

Sagnik do you know what happened to Rex...did he married with the princess which was introduced in the indrajal no.275.
I came to know thru some common friend that Rex married with that princess in some later daily though i am not sure about it.

HojO said...

I think u talk abt the story (also republished in 1987)where one princess lost in mid-sea...a conspiracy etc.....BUT as per my knowledge, she's not..as she never back in any future strips (as per i know)

BUT THEN,U shud read the story where Rex met pricess Alicia ,saved by Phantom frm her evil-uncle Duke of Sambad (eventually it's Vol.27 No. 2 ;D166 & already in CW)....they became close 2 each other [remember at the finishing,Diana said delightfully "they r very good match indeed!" & Phantom replied "wow! they r only 12, but frm now Rex'll not b alone"..quite a conversation!]

By the way, They met again ,in "D175('92)",titled 'Rex n Alicia'(am very much lookin' 4 it..do u've it?? )

so, may b Rex married with her in later strips or still dating!hehe

But, she's surely not that princess (No.275)...BUT THEN, do ya've any OTHER INFO.???

plse share it then

Bye (LOVE such discussions...even sometimes MORE than reading the comics itself!!)

i have each and every sunday and daily published by king features up date,, u guys are absolutely correct, post falk strips are worthless in all aspects, story artwork good for nothing, tough i still collect them for the sake of collection, i prefer strips upto barry era, especially barry's diana was fabulous, great face, curly hair, what a babe!!!! sigh...

if u want all of them, tell me, only problem is their size, around 4gb

Comic World said...

#Sagnik:I completely agree with you as what you said seems to be more logical.
I am not having D175 but ICC is having all those..lets see if he can share with us.
#ICC:Nice collection of sundalies you have. How about the idea of converting your 4Gb collection in DVDs,like Mishra ji did and then sending it to the friends!!!!

HojO said...

Far better template than all previous ones...

Yeah, i'm also looking 4 D175

HI CW,

I am back after a long time.
Though I was keeping a watch on your comics page looks liked I missed many commnets.

From your message I got reference of Mishraji's collection. please give more details. I am interested.

Meanwhile if you can post link to my comic blog http://balpan.blogspot.com/. Though it is not indrajal or Phantom and it is a bit of rework. The only highlight I have is that it is collection of comics for non rapidshare users.
Many do not have access to rapidshare and have to wait for hours to get the download links after one download. I am refering to links whick allow multiple downloads.

Thanks for the indrajal and work you are doing.

Comic World said...

#Bala:Thanks but the file isn't opening..i think there is some problem but not able to diagnose it.
#Atma:Welcome back buddy..was missing you.Its nice to find out that you too has started a comic blog..your link has been added.

#Sagnik:Yeah,I'll soon looking into this interesting trivia.BTW..did you downloaded the link by Bala!!!..and is it working?

HojO said...

#cw:No...the file's opening....i'll mail him soon to send some individual strip-links rather so many in one file.
Let's see...

HojO said...

such a bad typo

#Sagnik:Regarding your Huzz querry i checked issues 252,339 and vol.25-24 and everything is Ok with story..nothing like Diana playing double roles.
The story deals with 2 fossil scientists who were on missing..and Diana was requested to search them with the help of Phantom and there they find the Cave monster Huzz.
Vol.25-24 is the reprint version of no.252.
The confusion creating source is the two panels of no.339 where Phantom was telling Rex and Tom-tom about the Huzz finding and says that 'Diana brought the scientists to the cave'..this panel is followed by the panel which shows Diana alongwith those 2 scientists standing at the opening of the cave.
I think this lill bit of mistake is ignorable as Phantom is only telling a story...and ho sakta ho k Phantom ki yaddasht kuch kamzor ho gai ho us time..lol

HojO said...

gr8 review!

But how dare u 2 say k vetal ki yaddasht kuch kamzor ho gai thi???
lolz
No man it's not him, but may b Barry (due 2 huge pressure of his job ):o)

BTWN, is it also an ADDTN in No.339 where 'Hzz was attacked by villegers & phantom brought him 2 Nandan'?? think it's!

But, thnx a lot 4 clear this confusion :-))

Comic World said...

#Sagnik:Although vol.25-24 is a reprint version but is heavily edited to accommodate in pre-decided less page format than no.252.
Can you let me know that no.252 has been posted or TCP or not??.Also are you having the sequenced/sorted list of comics posted at TCP?..If yes then could you forward it to me so that to ease my job of cross-checking every time at TCP before posting a new one at CW.Thanks

HojO said...

#CW: No.252 OR 25-24 NEVER published in TCP .... one reqst k whenever u plan 2 post these comics plse post No.252 i.e.ORIGINAL n UNEDITED version...

And regarding the list of IJC published in TCP...i'd send a complete list(only serial IJC No. but well organished)2 ICC but most probly delet that mail(as i checked my mail-box & it's not there)....

But surely Chandu has 'that mail' as he also have 2 check lists b4 posting....can u ask him 2 forward that list 2 ya??
But if he don've i'll surely send ya a new one,so don worry :-))

Comic World said...

#sagnik:Yeah, I'll be posting 252 first.Ok..i will be asking chandu for your sent list.
BTW..stay tuned another phantom strip is coming in a short while.
