Manoj Chitra Katha were also my childhood favorite apart from Indrajal Comics,i remember very well how i wait for the new set of MCK's to arrive and use to hire the entire set,which comprises of initially 4 then 6 and ultimately 8 comics.
Popular character of MCK were Ram-Rahim,Mahabali Shera,Kala Pret ,historical and King/Queens stories,its popular artists were Pratap Mulick,Dilip Kadam,Bedi,Harvindra Mankad,P.Bandodkar etc.
Later with the arrival of Raj Comics they faced a tough competition and ultimately were left behind due to superior printing/page technology and better pool of writers of Raj Comics.
Manoj Chitra Katha still form a major portion of comic nostalgia and will remain etched in memory forever...!

The question of last quiz was that out of Mystery of Singing Rocks (Vol.26.No.36) and The Curse of Gold (No.340) which comic is having more no. of downloads and by what margin the d/l of both comic differs!!
The answer is Mystery of Singing Rocks was downloaded 69,116 (Sixty Nine thousand,One hundred sixteen) times till 6th May whereas The Curse of Gold was downloaded 188 (one hundred eighty eight) times.The difference margin of d/l is 68,928 (Sixty Eight thousand,Nine hundred twenty eight).

Well,its a compliment for popularity of Indrajal comics that a comic has been downloaded up to such an extent.

Its good to see that Prabhat and others are coming forward in terms of contribution to save ACK blog,its a much needed support.
This is a low time for Indrajal blogs as TCP has returned back but not yet posted a comic,ICC is in oblivion and so is TPH..i hope they will return soon.
Lastly i couldn't understand one thing,that what is the need of half naked cheerleader girls in a cricket match,when there are already thousand of viewers cheering their respective teams!!!

Another quick post is here within a interval of less than a week.This one is again a presentation from Ajay Misra's scanned work,all thanks and credit to him.
Friends here is a question for all of you which can win you 5,3 and 2 Indrajal comics respectively.
The question is can you guess which comic among these has more no. of downloads and by what margin the no. of downloads of these 2 comics differ:
1.Mystery of Singing Rocks (Vol.26.No.36) and
2.The Curse of Gold (No.340)
The margin of (+,-) 5000 (five thousand) is allowable for the answer.
I have saved the screen shot of no. of downloads for these two comics till today i.e. 6th May 2008,which i will be posting when the results will be announced.

At least a post after a long time...friends comic posting me wo maza nahi aa raha hai....i am not getting the same thrill after posting a comic....reasons might be that nothing new is coming on..same comic posting,same few words from few old regulars only(some of oldies are absent too..Col. where are you!!).Nothing sort of creative going on,no detailed comic discussions,no nostalgic inputs from readers........!!
Anyway few days back when i was turning pages of Illustrated Weeklies i came through some of the nostalgic strips/ads,which refreshed some old memories.I am putting them here hoping that they are worth watching.

Now some talk over cricket as cricket (IPL) fever is gripping India,can you tell in how many and what ways a batsman can be given out in Test cricket!!!!
One interesting incident!...A women cricket county match was being played in Denmark when a new bats(wo)man asked for a runner citing reason that she was 5 months pregnant.
Umpire clearly followed the rules and denied her for the same quoting that she didn't became pregnant 'during the course' of this very match,hence can't be allowed for a runner!!!!
