Great Work..Friend
Waiting eagerly for these rare comics.
Thanks, CW & Ajay. This is a great post. First, a Bahadur, then Kalamdas & Popat-Chopat and finally the covers. Great going, friends.
Fantastic post buddy. From the cover of Junior James Bond it seems that it is one of earlier comics of Junior James Bond because there is a little bit difference between the earlier and later illustrations of Sukhwant. The cover of Bunty comics is designed by Bedi. He is one of the most underrated illustrator. He mostly illustrated humour comics and had done some fantastic illustrations. If you remember he had also illustrated Hawaldar Bahadur series of MCK and Bankelal series of RC. Can you provide us some more information about Sukhwant, Bedi and Shehab(of Chhotu-Lambu (DC) and Chimpu(IJC) fame.
Hello CW,
Thanks for your time and effort to upload Madhumuskan. I am very grateful to you. I am visiting your site every 2 or 3 days in search of new comics(Madhumuskan:)).
Thanks again for your effort.
Nadeem: Thanks.Pls keep coming.
Deb: Thanks. Its nice to see that you liked it.
Wise Boy: Thanks.Yeah, that was a early comics of Sukhwant rightly noted by you.As far as i can recall,Sukhwant's article namely Chandru use to appear in very early issues of Madhumuskans, later then Chitra Bharti give him full fledged opportunity to draw Jr.James Bond.Sukhwant drew primarily for humorous characters only.
No doubt Bedi was one of the most underrated artist, there was a time when Bedi was among my favorites illustrators other than Pratap Mulick,Anupam Sinha,Raam Waeekar etc.If i see a comic drawn drawn by Bedi i was committed to read it.
About Shehab,as i have mentioned before too, initially his two page article,Chhotu-Lambu use to appear in Parag. He was picked up by Diamond Comics to draw full comic series on Chhotu-Lambu,which gained quite a lot popularity.
Shehaab's other famous creation were Manglu-Madari Bandar-Bihari (used to appear in MadhuMuskan),Chaman Charlie etc.
Abdul: Thanks,i hope you are getting your dose of MM now quite regularly...

Hi Pal,

Waiting eagerly for that BUNTY and JJB comic...and I recall my one pending request of RAJA-MANTRI. Hoping soon to see them
Col.Wrorobu: Welcome Col.,nice to see you here :o)
Anupam: Thanks Anupam.Yeah,i remember your request, will be soon posting it.
Hi CW,
I was reading MM when I was in school in between 1986 to 1992. I was also reading Diamond comics,Amar Chitra Katha, Indrajal, Lotpot, Prag etc. When I was in college, then most of the comics started disappearing from the market, and hence I could not read it. Then I was searching net for the comic and came to know about your site. In fact I was searching for MM and I found it on your site. I think it was first MM posted by you. Then I started regularly visiting your site for MM and IJ. I am also visiting ACK blog which is quite good.
Thanks again for your excellent works as it reminds me about my child hood by reading all the comics again. God bless you.
Abdul: Thanks.Yeah,it was with the start of 90's when comic culture start degrading and comics started to vanish from the market as TV and video game captured new generation's attention.
But the magic of comics is unmatched with any other sort of entertainment. When i started reading comics in very early 80's i was addicted with them so much that i use to read any comic which i could find/rent anywhere, but was particularly fond of IJ,MM,MCK,ACK,Deewana,Diamond Comics,Superman etc.
Now i just revive those blissful moments of 'Lost World' by posting these nostalgic catalysts.
waiting...
Fenil: Welcome Fenil. Will be trying to upload soon those comics.
By the way i am looking to hear more from you about your comic love and collection.Do share with us.
