#Comic No.57:The Invisible Saviour

Update:Download Link has been provided

The only thing which i liked in this comic is its cover...the story,i am afraid is not much gripping and convincing in my view,it is a typical Indian treasure hunt story type, cobra guarding the treasure and lets its genuine owner to take over it...a bit far away from logic....lets see whether you like it...

Here are few glimpses of it.....

Hi,
Yup,the story may not match with the 1st 10 Surti-Bahadur n that cobra-guarding thing is bit childish....but it'd also that thrill.....however,the LAST TWO Surti-Bahadur (this n Gang of Impostres)were NOT up-2-the mark, comparing those initial gems....
Personally I fond of ALL initial Surti-Bahadurs upto the Bandit Chief (IJC #296) .....rest r ok!

By the way,I've set a Poll in my blog ....askin' who's better btwn Surti n Uppal as Bahadur writer??

Though my intention is to see how much readers vote Suri over Uppal!as obviously Surti, bein' the Original creator ,having the better prospect!
All Bahadur-Fans may vote there!

It's always been a good way to pass time by reading comic books, regardless of whether there is logic or not. Thanks for posting this.

Eagerly awaiting the download link...

#Anon: Thanks,kindly leave a name also.
#Dara: Although almost of Surti's creation were interesting but in a couple of stories he went wayward.Today i read a comic of his another creation Inspector Azaad and it was quite gripping....and yeah,i have casted my vote:o)

Yes i think i may be having a few of both of them...Inspector Azaad i remember to read first in Satyakatha, where i use to read it only for Azaad feature at that time and my parents got confused and angry also that why at a tender age of 7 i was reading Satyakathas.....:o)

Do u have them in Comic-book format or in Magagine??

....why at a tender age of 7 i was reading Satyakathas.....:o)

U shud told 'em...."folks,I'm just learning Satyakathas ...may b bit early!" ;-))

Sagnik i have them in comic book format not as a part of magazines. In Satyakatha Ins.Azaad feature was published in B/W,later Goversions Comic published both Ins.Azaad and Shuja in comic format.

Thanks a lot CW for this Bahadur. I've never read it before.

The story was logical but doesnt feel complete. For examples Bhadurs fathers treasure does not belong by right to Bhadur to to CSF. What does he do with it? Its important for an author to instill right values in a kid reading the comic.

Arre Pattuji,if Bahadur don contribute those treasure 2 CSF..then neither it(CSF) wud mordernise(in later stories) nor survived till '90s (b4 Bahadur called it a day)!
Just kiddin'! ;-))

But then seriously,in comics/strips ...some lapse r bound to happen ...

Do ya think what hamara Phantom does in when he carrying Devil in Planes quite illigally OR even WORSE jump-off frm Planes sometimes, forcefully by showin guns???
Again when ,in early strips,Lothat called mandrake 'master' or carried his shoes etc were very GOOD VALUES intalled by author?? (personally i don think these an affect a kid much, unless he/she's a dumb one.....)

Frakly Pattu,b easy when readin' acomic n NOT BEING so critical/judgemental ALL THE TIME!

Hope I've explained everything.. :-)

Hey, I actually liked this story quite a bit. It was fun to read; the fun part was reading about the tag-team of Bahadur and Bela! :)

#GC: Bahadur,by acquiring the treasure, was only rectifying the bad deeds of his father as he intend to use that looted treasure for the welfare and safety of common folk only rather than for his personal leisure.
Also the treasure can be utilized in a far better way through Bahadur rather than the government (= 'corruption')
#Dara: Hamara Phantom does all these for the needful...hence Ok...;o)
#aditya simha: Welcome.

+ves
1) A good fast paced adventure.
2) Arises nostalgic feelings.
3) Pictures are good indeed.

-ves
1) Runs on predictable lines. Lacks surprise element.
2) Cobra saving the treasure is childish plot.
3) Many lapses (but don't count them as most indian stories don't show an eye for the details.)
4) Was the tight rope that ultimately become the reason of Lukka's death, put by Bahadur himself? If it is then it is a murder for treasure.

Overall, A welcome. Worth the effort. Thanks CW.

iam sorry Iam a bit late here.
As i often say,comic is a comic,whether its good,bad or repeated, let's appreciate effort first.Great effort,CW.
Bahadur....he brings out a certain Indian flavour which i relish everytime, if offered.
This is one of those which i wud rate at 75%.But i like the story.

"Bahadur,by acquiring the treasure, was only rectifying the bad deeds of his father as he intend to use that looted treasure for the welfare and safety of common folk only rather than for his personal leisure".

CW--u hit goldspot.Yes,sheer misunderstanding cud have ruined Bahadur but it was his eventual good friend Ins.Vishal who later on pacified Bahadur to make him understand the truth. This pt. is noted in most of the comics.
Bahadur took care of things and ultimately became a great PERSON(toiling for sufferers and poor and getting rid of antisocial elements).Right?A honourable citizen alright.
TPH---for some reason,u are always after Bahadur.Why?

I agree with all comments made about the treasure. My point is what Bhadur did with the treasure shouldnt be left to the imaginations. A couple of pictures how he used it for example giving to back to the people from whom it was stolen from
shouldnt hurt.

#TPH: Falling of luka by a rope hasn't been explained and left to readers imagination which is indeed a loop hole in the story.
#GC: Grouchy needful use of that treasure is expected by default by those who are regular Bahadur fan but i agree with you that still it would be better if a couple of panels would have been dedicated depicting the use of that treasure.
#Chandan: Thanks and never mind for being late....

I remember Inspector Azad from the Ill. Weekly directly above the Phantom Sunday Strip. It was quite good.

Dear Chandan, I feel Bahadur stories could have been even more interesting, had there been no slipshod characterisations.

I am not having any ad problem on cw site.

Why u r so rude for any INDIAN chracters?? 1st u've said never liked Dara/Aditya though haven't read those, then after so many critisim over some Bahadur's comic....now "slipshod chract.."!!

As I guess,u r rigid at ur ONE-PT-MISSION...let down ALL Indian charcter n praise ALL those westerns!!... :-/

Tell me TPH,r ALL characters in Garth/Buz well xplained?? R those appealing enough???
Still u said SO MANY NICE WORDS!!

So,don b Partial ....as I guess ,being slaved by Englishmen 4 two centuries, some Indians genetically still feel xsisitence of a 'slave' with themselves n still over-board with his crapy praises for x-pravues!!
